Read and Have Fun

The Knaast Heir is a dark fantasy  book full of angels, demons, human warriors and magic.

It is the Unabridged version of the first book of a Trilogy published in 2013. Now, the books are rewritten, with many sections that had not been published before. The author did it not only to answer some former comments from reliable readers and reviewers. (Thank, you guys!!!) but as a celebration of the Trilogy's anniversary. The story is based on the Apochripha Books of Enoch and the Book of Jazar. It also has South American myths, legends, and ancient gods from many cultures. It is a cauldron of magic, fear, and real life.

This blog brings some of the historic and curiosities used to make the Knaast Heir unique.

The Tomorrow War - Review

Tomorrow war is an action movie that is Sci-Fi, not the other way around. A genre immortalized by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator and difficult to repeat with the same success.

It is a choice for SciFi lovers who appreciate watching action movies and love things exploding.

It has a lot of both.

The shape of the weird aliens became a bit repetitive, though. Stranger Things' creatures are in danger of becoming a pattern.

However, the future asking for help sounded like a trope, but it managed to be creative, bringing great scenes.

It is absurd how the future guys are very much incompetent. They ask for help with a dramatic heartwrenching appearance ( I liked the script of their call to arms). After they get it, by the millions of soldiers - I have to emphasize - they can't even manage to drop the troops in the correct place, killing a lot of the soldiers sent to help them. What war coordination, is that?

The question that comes to mind is, are the aliens winning the war because they are that bad, or are the future generals and colonels that stupid?

Thank God the aliens aren't that intelligent either, acting by instinct and brawn much more than brains.

The future needs our help, all right, as the technicians from the coming time seem to kill the soldiers just as much as the aliens do with stupid coordinates mistakes, wrong enemy counting, deployment of not enough troops, and I am stopping her. If you are or were in the military, you will want to slap their generals.

It is impressive when an author can create a SciFi story and be inventive enough and creative enough to repeat old cliches and, even then, make a good movie.

I recognize some cliches are public faves and can be considered references, so I am not taking off points for that.

The director is not bad, although some scenes would look better with closer camera takes. And investing some more money in aerial camera takes would be a nice shot from the producers.

Amazon Prime has ways to go in the movie-making industry, but it makes nimble decisions as Amazon tends to do. Buying The Tomorrow War from Paramount for 200 million was an investment. I only hope they don't turn it into a series.

Tomorrow War is a watch-it-now film.
