Read and Have Fun

The Knaast Heir is a dark fantasy  book full of angels, demons, human warriors and magic.

It is the Unabridged version of the first book of a Trilogy published in 2013. Now, the books are rewritten, with many sections that had not been published before. The author did it not only to answer some former comments from reliable readers and reviewers. (Thank, you guys!!!) but as a celebration of the Trilogy's anniversary. The story is based on the Apochripha Books of Enoch and the Book of Jazar. It also has South American myths, legends, and ancient gods from many cultures. It is a cauldron of magic, fear, and real life.

This blog brings some of the historic and curiosities used to make the Knaast Heir unique.

Much has been said about the BOOK OF ENOCH, and it divides opinions in the theological world. It is a compilation of many Apocalyptic works, but not only. It brings the oldest writing “Apocalypse of Weeks,” written before the Maccabean uprising of 167 BC against the Seleucids.

Although not every scholar agrees, it is possible parts of I Enoch originated or suffered influence from the Essene community of Jews at Qumrãn. The session in question offers views of messianism, celibacy and the fate of the soul after death.

The theological idea of Free Will is the core of THE KNAAST HEIR. It is present in the Book of Enoch. Many sermons for Easter emphasize the dualism between good and evil. It is the center of Christian religion.

However, Christian doctrine doesn't agree on the matter of human's choice in life; there are churches defending Free will, but there is also the Calvinism doctrine of predestination. Free Will means people can decide to be good or bad; predestination means you are born with a destiny and no matter what you do it will happen. Because they are so opposing points of view I played with both concepts.

The part animal/part human gods is recurrent in ancient cultures.

If you are in New York, the MET has now one amazing exhibition on ancient traditions and culture. The Good Life, and there is another one that is about to finish.

In Rayyane Tabet exhibition where you can see four carved stone reliefs from the ancient site of Tell Halaf, in modern Syria. It is the picture in this Chapter.

How The Knaast Heir was born

The Watchers are the fallen angels who had children with human women. Those were the Nephilim who ate humans, and according to the Bible, their descendants were on the Earth when David fought Goliath.

Their sin earned them shackles in the darkest place.

Other angels sinned and lost their place in the heavens too, however, it was a different punishment. The Father of All Lights threw them from the heavens to the Earth where they live in the Earth's skies over humankind's heads.

According to the Book of Enoch, the angels and humans who sin are different to the Father's eyes. Humans receive the forgiveness, but the angels don’t.

One of the reasons behind the distinction is the superior intelligence and knowledge the angels possess. Their attitudes are unacceptable.

The story of the Watchers and the Renegade angels expelled from heaven is the first part of the Apocrypha Book of Enoch. It is the seed of many beliefs that go around the Earth and make the core of humankind’s hopes and nightmares.

Every religious system has demons and monsters that aim at human destruction. They might have different names, but their primary existence is behind human problems. Despite of this struggle between the good and the bad, humankind has lived and built lives and families.

Parents have taught children using the threat of a bad creature that would appear to punish unacceptable behavior since the beginnings of time.

Furthermore, human societies have their unique sets of rules and expectations about what inappropriate behavior means.

However, it is advisable not think of breaking the rules. Anywhere you alive, perverting them means you might lose a lot.

My religious beliefs are not in this introduction or in my books, but the Knaast family existence has its roots in the Book of Enoch.

Reading my books you will understand why the Book of Enoch teachings have so much impact.

Be ready to get scared.
